The Weekly Grind generates discussion on occupational issues, lifestyles, news, politics, events, sports and more. We keep topics relevant to the thoughts and concerns of tomorrow’s leaders.

The Weekly Grind also helps to generate positive buzz about Omaha by promoting the businesses and community efforts led by young professionals.

Bryan Mohr, 30 (www.bryanmohr.com@bmohr1)
An award-winning copywriter at Bozell, Bryan Mohr has a passion for creativity and any creative industry. He loves to interview writers, artists and musicians. Bryan holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He also has an MBA from Creighton University, with an emphasis in leadership, giving him added insights to young professional perspectives.

As the Sales Director for AmeriPride Services, Mike Shearer knows what it takes to motivate and inspire a workforce. He loves business and he loves Omaha, which makes him the perfect co-host for The Weekly Grind. Beyond his award-winning sales occupation, Mike is also a freelance journalist, contributing to multiple publications, including the The Reader. Mike has also organized charitable events while working on his MBA at Creighton University.


Wendy Townley, 32 (www.wendytownley.com@wtownley)
Omaha native Wendy Townley is the newest member of The Weekly Grind team. As assistant director of media relations at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Wendy oversees story pitches to local, regional and national media, and she manages the university’s presence on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. She holds a BS in Journalism from UNO, and is working toward an MA in Communication, also at UNO. Wendy is a social media junkie, blogger and freelance writer whose first book, Nerdy Thirty, was published in May 2010.
